Welcome to Racing Through 2011! I’m a graduate student who has recently lost 55 pounds. I fell in love with running, started reading fitness blogs, and decided to create my own.
I went from this:
I lost the weight in about 8 months by cutting out processed foods and working out about 5 to 6 days a week. This is not a food blog and I don’t intend on posting my eats simply because I’ve seen a lot of scrutiny on other blogs dealing with food intake. However, if I find an awesome recipe I will definitely share. Other than that, you will find my daily workouts, events in the life of a last semester grad student (which will transition to job hunting after May) and other informational/entertaining posts. I am planning to do a half marathon every-other month so if anyone wants to send me gu, shoes (size 6), or clothes (medium), I’m all for it, haha!
My goal for Running Through 2011 is to run 1 race every month on 2011 to keep myself motivated and to hopefully see pace improvements.
